Isn’t it appealing when you hear the word “Volunteer”? Perhaps it doesn’t even pique your interest.
Volunteering is not a walk in the park. Everyone wants to help, but not everyone has the time or the passion to offer their services for free. Don’t expect anything in return if you want to help.
You’ve probably heard the adage, “It’s better to give than to receive.”
From the Bible, Acts 20.
“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Well, whenever I give back to my community or simply do good deeds for those around me, I get a contented smile on my face. If you’re content, it means you’re happy and satisfied.
I understand how difficult it is to commit and spend your time if this is not your cup of tea. But have you ever considered that doing these little things can make a big difference in the life of someone else?
And guess what? When I began volunteering in Dubai, I made new friends. I swear you’ll meet a lot of good-hearted people if you join some volunteering organizations because they all have the same interests – to help, to do good deeds, and so on. 🙂
I believe that if you are generous and kind to others, you will receive more blessings. And if you have all the blessings, you will undoubtedly enjoy lending your hands to those in need.
Be a blessing NOT a stumbling block.
I hope I can inspire someone today!! 🙂
